The historical backdrop of Heathrow Airport dates back to the year 1930. This is the year when Richard Fairey, a British air designer, and aeroplane manufacturer purchased a plot of 150-section of land from Vicar of Harmondsworth. This plot was then named Fairey’s Great West Aerodrome where aeroplanes were tried and collected.

During World War II, this land was ordered by the public authority, alongside different terrains around this plot. They utilised this land to fabricate RAF Heston, a base for the troop-conveying aeroplanes.

Just after the war finished, this RAF Heston base was not required any longer and subsequently was authoritatively given over to the Air Ministry. This was on first January of 1946 when it authoritatively turned into London’s considerate air terminal

Another version of a Lancaster plane was the first aeroplane to actually take off from Heathrow, which was known as Starlight. In the year 1951, the traveller number was expanded to more than 700,000, and building structures around the airport were planned and developed. It was already called London Airport at this point, and in 1966, it was renamed Heathrow Airport. As many as 1 billion travellers were served constantly in 2006.

A tonne of changes occurred from that point forward, and the air terminal has made changes in its tasks, administrations and other plans. Today, Heathrow Airport is a significant worldwide airport, serving a large number of individuals consistently everywhere in the world.
