About the service
We at Britway are taking extreme measures to ensure the health and safety of our drivers and clients, by limiting transfers to only 2-3 daily. This is to make sure that the transmission rate is reduced to a great extent. Our drivers understand the importance of your safety during these testing times, and we too do our part by checking their temperatures regularly.
It is important to mention that we expect our customers to understand the safety protocols too, and follow any rules and regulations that are required to tackle problems caused by this pandemic.

A Brief about Heathrow Airport
Along with being one of the major international airports, Heathrow Airport is also the 2nd busiest airport in the world. Millions and millions of passengers are served every year in this airport, as well as airplanes flying to over 180 destinations around the world.
While having four passenger terminals and one cargo terminal, Heathrow passengers will only notice the terminal number 2, 3, 4 and 5 because the number 1 terminal has stopped its service due to refurbishment. Heathrow Airport maintains the highest standards of services, operations, and securities. A lot of extra facilities, such as prayer rooms, hotel access and transportation can be found in this airport.
Looking back at the past of Heathrow
The origin of Heathrow Airport goes back to the year 1930, when the very land we call Heathrow Airport now was owned by the Vicar of Harmondsworth. This was a 150-acre plot, which then was sold to a British engineer and aircraft builder Richard Fairey. It was used for testing and assembling aircraft and was named Fairey’s Great West Aerodrome.
During World War II, the government used this land for building a different base of RAF Heston for troop-carrying aircraft. As it was not needed anymore after the war was ended, this land and base went officially to the Air Ministry, where they used it to build London’s first civil airport.
A number of changes have been made after its first operation as a civil airport. Heathrow Airport was previously known as London airport, and in 1951 the passenger number had risen to over 700,000. The same year marks a significant year in the history of Heathrow as this is the year when permanent buildings were designed and built.
Heathrow Airport has experienced its busiest year in the year 2019 when 80.9 million passengers travelled through the airport.
